Can I map a preferred DHCP IP address to a specific port

I am trying find out if it is possible to map a preferred DHCP IP address to a specific port on a Cisco switch/router. What I am after is the ability to connect various devices to a specific physical port on the switch and whatever device is plugged into that port it will get the same IP address everytime for that port.

I hope I have explained it good enough.

Hey,

You may use IP reservation based on client mac-address. Adding link for your reference:

HTH.

Regards,

RS.
