Can I upgrade the cisco Nexus 5548 from 5.2.1 to 7.x directly or not?

I want to upgrade the cisco nexus 5548 from 5.2.1 to 7.x image. Can I upgrade it directly to 7.x version or not?

Yes, you can. There is a USB flash port on the switch you can use to copy the file to the internal flash.

Hi,

It depends how you want to do it. 

1. ISSU

2. Traditional via, Changing boot variable and reload.

With ISSU you cant go directly from 5.X to 7.X, There will be a path which has to be followed and by the way this does not require a Reload.

With option 2 you just change the boot variable and reload the box and it will come up with the new image.

So let me know your requirement and i will let you know that upgrade path.
