Can we loopback VLAN - Urgent Requirement

Dear All,

How can test the loopback on Layer-2 ethernet services? Is it possible to swap the destination MAC and Source MAC to test the loopback?

Please share your feedback on the same.

I am looking at both scenarios i) EoSDH & ii) Metro Ethernet.

i) Seimens ADR -155/2550 etc & other vendors as well such as ECI telecom,Nortel & Tejas equipments.

ii) MEN:- Cisco 3550/6500 switches based MEN RINGs and service provisioning on per VLAN basis i.e. Layer-2.
