Can we upgrade a WS-SUP720-3B module or a WS-SUP720-BASE module?
Can we upgrade a WS-SUP720-3B module or a WS-SUP720-BASE module by adding memory to a WS_SUP720-3BXL module so that we get 1 GB memory or do we have to replace the whoe module. If upgarde is allowed / possible / supported then do we have to add memory on the switch processor and as well as on the MSFC3 or just the MSFC3 only if we are running IOS.

3B and 3BXL differ in hardware table capacity.Hence you need to replace the DFC card of your LC.When you have more hardware capacity you also should have DRAM capacity so that software can store the information.[Eg : say 250k route entries].So it is recommended to upgrade both SP and RP memory to as per the recommendation that comes with your IOS software guide.I guess the min req will be 512M.
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
