Can you use all four SFP slots simataniously?

on a 3Com SuperStack 3 3870 it has 4 SFP slots, can I use a LX card in each one going to different switch rooms? I am confused because some say "shared, some say Dual purpose SFP slots" Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know 3COM products, but typically dual-purpose means either the SFP port or the rj-45 port. Can't say I've heard of shared. I would say you can use all four SFP slots, but then the associated rj-45 slots will not work. It's an either or situation.

HTH and please rate.
