cannot ping local vlan

I have vlan1 configured, it's up and running and I am able to ping devices on this particular vlan.  Even more so, I can ping the vlan interface from a remote site but not from the switch itself where the vlan is defined.

I am running an old IOS version which I think may be the problem, ie. it could be buggy.

I searached on the cisco bug page but got nowhere

C3750 Software (C3750-IPBASE-M), Version 12.2(25)SEB4

System image file is "flash:c3750-ipbase-mz.122-25.SEB4/c3750-ipbase-mz.122-25.SEB4.bin"

There are 2 switches in the stack

I ran a debug but nothing came up.

any idea?

You mean to say from switch you are not able to ping the vlan 1 interface which you are able to ping from host in same vlan  and other remote site devices,If yes it really a strange thing.

Please post your sh ip int brie and sh vlan output
