CAT OS for CAT2948G

I'm trynig to find CAT OS upgrade for CAT2948G which runs on the CAT400 skin but I can't find it on the CCO, can anyone point me to the link?

Hi Nawas,

8.2GLX is the latest code for 2948G

Its a normal 4k switch image which will start with "cat4000"

As an example cat4000-k8.7-6-16.bin will run on cat2948G switch. Make sure to read the release note before upgrading any image as you may need to upgrade the prom before upgrading to latest image.

You can go to download section and then to Lan switching section and under cat4000 switches you will find the image for this switch.

2948G are considered a cat 4000 switch , intuitive eh ? 7.6.12 and later is considred GD . All cat 4000 boxes are EOL/EOS at this point and no further software fixes or development is being done . 8.X trains just add some added functions but you would have to search on what the differences are .
