Dear Pros,

I have single 6509 chassis with single power supply and a sup1A.The sup running with cat os hybrid. I have blank pc card .I need to copy the cat os to the pc card.Note here that i have no line modules to tftp the image to pc card. Is there any command in the SP mode (console> (enable))to use to copy the cat os to the pc card (slot0:)

I tried copy flash slot0: gives error

but dir slot0: gives the output.

Please let me know how can i copy the image ?

Also one more question that IF i want to edit the SP rommon to change the boot variable like BOOT=slot0:cat6000-sup.6-3-3.bin.from BOOT=bootflash: Will the switch work?

Thanks

swamy

your BOOT command should work as you would like it as long as you have the slot0 as well as the specified catOS on that slot0.

for copying the catOS to the slot0 try the following command: (example file name)

copy cat6000-sup.6-2-3.bin slot0:

it should prompt you to verify if you want to perform the copy.

this command will copy the fileName 'cat6000-sup.6-2-3.bin' from the default flash device (usually bootflash:) to the 'slot0:' flash device.
