I need to upgrade the ios on my sup iv because it doesn't recognize my 4506-e chassis.
the problem I'm having is I'm going into rommon and this is what "set" command returns.

now I setup my laptop to 192.168.1.3/24 and connect it to the mgt port of the sup.
I just can't ping the mgt port form my laptop and I can't ping the laptop from the mgt port.
windows firewall is disables on my laptop.
basically I need to boot from tftp the new version of ios and then from there do a copy tftp flash.
I've been banging my head agaist a wall to understand WHY i can't ping. it's very simple networking and I can't make this work.
any help would be greately appreciated!!
so basically since I can't ping, tftp doesn't work. for some reason there is no connectivity between my laptop and the mgt port of the sup.
on my laptop if I do (arp -a) it shows me the mgmt port ip and mac so ... something works...
