Cat6509 with Sup720 & WS-X6148A-GE-TX Issue

Hi,

I have a Catalyst 6509 with Sup720 and have previous SFM capable 48 Port GE Cards. We needed new line modules and budget for SFM wasn't there, so the non SFM line cards were purchased. They were shown as compatible and mixable and now when installed are showing up as unsupported.

9 48 FRU type (0x6003, 0x399(921)) WS-X6148A-GE-TX

%C6KPWR-SP-4-UNSUPPORTED: unsupported module in slot 9, power not allowed: Unknown Card Type

Anyone have any ideas??? Is it an IOS issue?

Probably a code issue , need at least 12.2.17 b SXB code to run .

Yep, confirmed as such. I created a TAC case just to be sure. :) Thanks Though.
