Catalyst 2950 with boot error

Hi, I have a catalyst 2950-24 and  accidentaly uploaded the .TAR file instead of tge .BIN file. I had also,  deleted the previous IOS. I try to do an

xmodem and get this  error

switch:  copy xmodem: flash:c2950-i6q4l2-mz.121-22.EA12
Begin the Xmodem or  Xmodem-1K transfer now...
CCC
### Send (x)  c2950-i6q4l2-mz.121-22.EA12.bin: NAK on sector
### Send (x)  c2950-i6q4l2-mz.121-22.EA12.bin: NAK on sector
### Send (x)  c2950-i6q4l2-mz.121-22.EA12.bin: NAK on sector
### Send (x)  c2950-i6q4l2-mz.121-22.EA12.bin: NAK on sector
### Send (x)  c2950-i6q4l2-mz.121-22.EA12.bin: NAK on sector
### Send (x)  c2950-i6q4l2-mz.121-22.EA12.bin: Retry Count Exceeded

Also, when I  try to delete the .TAR file I get permission denied.

Any  thoughts?

Thanks

Re: Catalyst 2950 with boot error

Issue the copy xmodem: flash:filename command on the switch.

Here is an example:
switch: copy xmodem: flash:c2955-i6q4l2-mz.121-13.EA1.bin
Begin the Xmodem or Xmodem-1K transfer now...
CCC

From the top of the HyperTerminal window, choose Transfer > Send File.

Choose the Xmodem protocol in the Send File dialog box and click Browse in order to select the Cisco IOS image (.bin file) that you downloaded previously.

Click Send in order to begin the Xmodem transfer.

That is what I am doing. I select xmodem and then select the file to send. As soon as the transfer starts I get the errors

Re: Catalyst 2950 with boot error

Try downloading a different version of IOS.  It could be corrupt.  DO you have a TFTP server running?  And you are using HyperTerminal, right?
