Does this model support VLAN routing?

I am not sure that I fully understand your question. The 2950 is a layer 2 switch. It does support configuration of multiple VLANs and assignment of ports to various VLANs, and supports VLAN trunking. But as a layer 2 switch it does not support any routing.

If this does not give you a satisfactory answer then perhaps you can clarify the question?

Re: Catalyst 2950

NO.

Catalyst 2950 is only Level 2.

You can VLAN Routing with Catalyst 2950 + Cisco 2651 (or higher) with 2 Fast Ethernet ports.

Re: Catalyst 2950

Hi,

Cisco 2950 is a layer 2 switch, so it doesn't do vlan routing, only layer 3 switches like cisco 3550,3750,3560 or 2948 etc... support vlan routing.

Re: Catalyst 2950

Hi,

AFAIK, non of the 29XX Cisco switches supports routing (L3 Switching), if you require a switch that supports routing go for the 3560.

HTH, please do rate all helpful replies,

Re: Catalyst 2950

Agree with Mohammed on this. None of the 29XX supports routing except 2948G-L3 switch which is EOL now.You need 3560/3750 fixed config switches to do intervlan routing.

HTH,Please rate if it does.
