Catalyst 2960S-LPS-L PoE only on specific ports not working

Hi,

 

we have Catalyst 2960S-LPS-L (48 Ports) here which in general works fine.

 

If i connect a Cisco Access Point (2602), it´s powered up via PoE, but on some ports this is not working; it just doesn´t power up. The port configuration is exactly the same. I rebooted the switch, but still the same.

 

Any ideas how to troubleshoot this? Is it possible, that the PoE capability on some ports is just broken?

Dear Heinz,1. Enter following

Dear Heinz,

1. Enter following commands, it will show if any error.


        sh post

        sh power inline status - it will show power on each port.

2. Make sure your cdp is enabled.

3. Enter following on interface. This may solve the issue.

   #int fa0/1
    shut
    no shut

4. Check IOS version of the switch, if it is following version then need to upgrade.
    
     12.2(25)SEB4

Port G1/0/44 is not delivering PoE; Port G1/0/38 has exactly the same configuration and it´s working.
