Catalyst 4500 Enterprise Service License

Folks,

Would anyone please update if purchasing Enterprise Service License is necessary for Catalyst 4500 L3 switch?

It is now in evaluation period.

I really don’t think we are going to use any of its benefits but I need some details, Links... , it will save us about USD 7000.00 at the very least & I am not able to find any source,links to compare it in Cisco website.

It would be appreciated if someone could provide some guidance.

Depends on how you want to use your appliance.  If you want to run only Layer 2 then you don't need Enterprise license.
