Catalyst 4507 Port security for Lync phones (Polycom) troubleshooting

Hello Cisco Forum team;

      

   I have a new switch 4507R+ with the following supervisor and Line cards:

IOS: Cisco IOS Software, IOS-XE Software, Catalyst 4500 L3 Switch Software (cat4500es8-UNIVERSALK9-M), Version 03.03.00.XO RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2)

Supervisor: WS-X45-SUP8-E

LineCards: WS-X4748-RJ45V+E

 

The switch stopped registering and/or providing connectivity into the voice VLAN for new IP Phones (Polycom CX600); when we removed the following lines (bold, port security lines) from the provided access port configuration, it started working once again:

 

description IP PHONE & HOST PORT

switchport access vlan 4061

switchport mode access

switchport nonegotiate

switchport voice vlan 2061

no cdp enable

spanning-tree portfast

spanning-tree guard root

service-policy output EGRESS-QUEUING

switchport port-security maximum 3

switchport port-security

switchport port-security aging time 2

switchport port-security aging type inactivity

 

Do you have any idea on why this is happening after being working for several weeks?

 

The port security settings and QoS is being provided by the Service Provider who owns and manages the Lync Server.
