Looking for documentation on the NVRAM for SUP2. When sh ver with no config.(clear config all) NVRAM states total-512K;used-251k;free-261k. No line cards installed. Is this normal?
The nvram usage depends on the type of module, config, how many times the config has been changed, and the "default" config and the way compilation occurs that will determine how much space the config will use for the NVRAM. Try changing the configuration mode from default binary to text mode. Here is a link that shows how to change the config to text mode.
