Catalyst 6509-E Chassis Failure

I have a Catalyst 6509-E chassis that was recently replaced due to backplane failure.  A 10GE line card was installed in the chassis and during the installation, the backplane failed.  The chassis has been replaced and service is resotored.  However, since the new chassis has been installed, we experienced a loss of service for about 19 minutes.  All routing ceased at that point.  During this failure, there was no log output that could point to any event on the switch.  The log file was clean.  There are 2 sup 720 modules installed in this switch.  As a precuation, we have new sueprvisor modules on hand to replace the existing modules.  There are no diagnostics that indicate a problem with these modules.  Do you think that when the backplane shorted out, that these supervisor modules could have taken a hit and could be damaged even though there is nothing that points to them?  Cisco TAC has looked at the switch and could not find an issues as to why the 2nd failure happened.  Thoughts?

Maybe logging is disabled?
