Catalyst 6509 module temperature

Hi,

The following is my Catalyat 6509 temperature information :

For module 4 ( WS-X6716-10GE ), the inlet temperature is higher than outlet temperature. Please help to mention me why the inlet temperature is higher than outlet temperature? ( For the other module, the inlet temperature is lower than outlet temperature. )

Catalyst 6509 module temperature

Hi,

I checked the other Catalyst 6509 with WS-X6716-10GE installed. It have the same issue. Is there anyone have the same issue? ( the inlet temperature is higher than outlet temperature )

Hi Jackson,

1. could you check if the airflow and cooling requirements are appropriate in the room where the switches are located?

2. May i know the Chassis model?

3. is the AC working fine? Is there anything blocking the airflow in the switch?

generally this would happen due to airflow blocking in the switch. moreover, 43 is not so alarming. i would concern about this if it keeps increasing.

A : The airflow and cooling requirements was ok.

2. May i know the Chassis model?

A : WS-C6509-E

3. is the AC working fine? Is there anything blocking the airflow in the switch?

A : the AC working fine and nothing blocking the airflow

My question is why the inlet temperature is higher than outlet temperature at module 4 ( WS-X6716-10GE ) only? For the other module, the inlet temperature is lower than outlet temperature.
