Catalyst Express CE500

Dear Friends,

I have two Catalyst Express CE500 switches with 24 Port 10/100 and two port 10/100/1000 port for Uplink. I try to connect 1Gb port uplink between switches having CAT6 Cable about 165 Feet long but 1Gb connection can not established and 100Mb link can successfully connected. Please help me to resolve the issue. Nadeem

The issue may be due to speed settings on either end of the ports. If the speed setting differs between two switches then they defaults to 100Mbps.

Hi,

I have checked and configured speed 1G on both end already, can you please tell me have you seen any setup where 1G is working on copper on least cable lenght 180 Feet. Please tell me the cable specification and vendor so i can arrange the same.

The CE500 have a CLI Mode, Yes it have!


But In my humble opinion I think its a Emulation of the CLI


When you do all the configuration in the SW, just type in you internet explorer.."http:// + IP Swithc + /exec" for example "http://192.168.10.2...
