Good Day,
Currently we have cisco 4503 switch in one of our location without redundancy which servers below,
300 user (desktop & ip phones)
5 vlans
15 access switches are connected
one L3 connectivity.
Actually i want to understand is it really necessary to have 4503 or we can go for 4900 series as we are planning to have redundancy in distribution segment.
Which is the best L3 switch in the above scenario and how to measure the overall performance of the current 4503 switch...

As far as the 4900 line, you can go with either the 4900M or 4948E models.

Assuming we are talking about the 4500-E, it offers higher port density and w/ Sup7-E higher switching capacity.
Both models will provide the required redundancy with HSRP or Layer3 Equal-Cost path (depending on your design to the access layer).
What type of switches do you have at the acces layer?
As for performance on the switch, it's listed in the product documentation:

We have catalyst 500 (2 nos) and remaining catalyst 2960 switches at the access layer. There are no critical servers at the location and this site is considered as one of the brancs. We have a contact center of 32 seats and the ccx servers are placed in HO (another location). We have not got approval for 4500 from the management and pls suggest any specific model from 4900 which supports our requirement ...
Current requirement:
Redundancy in distribution segment.
Switch should handle the distribution layer traffic.
Future requirement:
Vlan can span up to additional 10
Additional access switch of 10
desktop & ip phone users may add up to 100
