Catos ether-channel configuration/ adding another ports into it?

Greetings all,
I'm not so skilled in catos configuration so it would be really great if anybody can write his/her opinion about my configuration as I dont have any oportunity to test it before implementation.
My task is to upgrade existing port channel with adding another 2 ports between two 6500 switches sw1 & sw2.

Existing configuration/portchannel:

SW1:
set port channel 5/2,6/2 3
set vlan 999  5/2, 6/2
clear trunk 5/2  1-165,167-4094
set trunk 5/2  on dot1q 166
clear trunk 6/1  1-165,167-4094
set trunk 6/1  on dot1q 166
set spantree portcost    5/2  200
set spantree portcost    6/2  200
set port channel 5/2 mode desirable silent
set port channel 6/2 mode desirable silent

SW2:
set port channel 5/2,6/2 3
set vlan 999  5/2, 6/2
clear trunk 5/2  1-165,167-4094
set trunk 5/2  on dot1q 166
clear trunk 6/1  1-165,167-4094
set trunk 6/1  on dot1q 166
set spantree portcost    5/2  200
set spantree portcost    6/2  200
set port channel 5/2 mode desirable silent
set port channel 6/2 mode desirable silent

I read: When you assign ports to an existing admin group, the original ports associated with the admin group will move to an automatically picked new admin group. You cannot add ports to the same admin group.

So I chose to create also new admin group. Ports to add 8/44 & 9/44.

Proposed configuration:

SW1:
set port enable 8/44
set port enable 9/44
set port channel all distribution ip both
!
set vlan 999 8/44
set vlan 999 9/44
!
clear trunk 8/44  1-165,167-4094
set trunk 8/44  on dot1q 166
clear trunk 9/44  1-165,167-4094
set trunk 9/44  on dot1q 166
!
set udld enable 5/2
set udld enable 8/44
set udld enable 6/2
set udld enable 9/44
!
set spantree portcost 8/44 200
set spantree portcost 9/44 200
!
set port channel 5/2,6/2,8/44,9/44 5
set port channel 5/2,6/2,8/44,9/44 mode desirable silent

SW2:
set port enable 8/44
set port enable 9/44
set port channel all distribution ip both
!
set vlan 999 8/44
set vlan 999 9/44
!
clear trunk 8/44  1-165,167-4094
set trunk 8/44  on dot1q 166
clear trunk 9/44  1-165,167-4094
set trunk 9/44  on dot1q 166
!
set udld enable 5/2
set udld enable 8/44
set udld enable 6/2
set udld enable 9/44
!
set spantree portcost 8/44 200
set spantree portcost 9/44 200
!
set port channel 5/2,6/2,8/44,9/44 5
set port channel 5/2,6/2,8/44,9/44 mode desirable silent

Questions/concerns:

-My biggest concern is if the assignment to admin group 5 will work. Not sure how the catos behave once ports are assigned to admin group 3.
-And also if port channel could be created using ports on those cards.

sh port capabilities - on all ports
Channel                     yes
