CBAC on 6500 720B

scenario

6509 with pair of sup720b supervisors running native IOS and configured for NSF/SSO redundancy

CBAC ACLs have been applied on this device.

Questions

Will CBAC state information be replicated to the redundant MSFC to be utilized in a fail condition?

Is all CBAC traffic all sent to the MSFC, or is any of it routed in hardware?

Re: CBAC on 6500 720B

Hi Friend,

All the CBAC traffic is sent to the MSFC and its software switched not the hardware switched. As there are not hardware tables to Sync between the 2 MSFC's I dont think so that the CBAC stste information will be replicated. However I will check on it and let you know as I find the exact info. CBAC traffic is software switched not the hardware switched.

HTH, Please rate if it does.
