Hi ,
Hope this is ok to post here.?
I am studying for my CCNA Security after completing my CCNA.
I am looking for advice on lab kit (I have read some say it isn't required as more theory but I like to practice as I learn it better that way personally )
On another site there was suggestions of 1841 routers (which I have 2 of) and 2960 sitches, would you all agree?
If so, I am tempted by an C2960-8TC as I can then use it for other peuposes after the exam. Does this come with a full / standard version of the IOS that is ok for the Security concepts? I read somewhere that it came with "LAN Lite Cisco IOS" would I be better getting a bigger one?
Many thanks

Hi,
For CCNA security, I think, you need a firewall, as it deals with VPN and other security features.
Have a look at this discussion for more info:

thnaks for the reply.
I already have an ASA5505 (sorry forgot to mention that) that I use for my internet access so it is only the switches that I think might need upgrading just to look at some of the labs to get the practice with securing them.
Thanks
