cdp neighbors query

Hi. Let's say I have a switch that is connected to a router, another switch and an ASA device. When i run the sh cdp neighbors command i can view the router, and the other switch but couldn't see the ASA. Is the ASA by default has cdp disabled or is cdp manually disabled on the ASA which is maybe why i couldn't see it using the above mentioned command?

Thanks.

Yes, The ASA is a security device and CDP - while useful for finding Cisco devices - possesses vulnerabilities.
