hi all,

just a quick one, i'm going to change the IPs on our LAN switches.

will i get disconnected if i change the ip default-gateway IP?

i know i've configured a switch before without this and it still works.

i would be changing the SVI IP last.

no ip default-gateway 172.29.26.1
ip default-gateway 172.27.190.1

interface Vlan1
ip address 172.27.190.2 255.255.255.192

Hi Johnlloyd_13,

When remove/add the ip default-gateway you would stay connected, but when changing the ip address of the vlan (svi) on which you are connected you would be disconnected.

Aref
