Ok I am starting to lose it here....My 2511-RJ has worked flawlessly for years and now its being funny. I thought it was RAM so I upgraded it to 16/16 but still the same issues. It gets to a point then just hangs...I cant even get a new IOS on it because the tftp closes the session and then the router just keeps trying. Is the 2511 boot ROM upgradable without a hardware replacement? I cant seem to find the software on ciscos site. Here is a read out of the boot process:

I think, it is just old hardware. The 2500 series have around for over 20 years now. The last IOS that was release for 2500 series was in 2007. There is no Rommon upgrade since they have been EOL for a long time.
If this is for a business, you may want to invest in a 2800 or a 2900 series as your terminal server. If it is for home use, ebay is the place to buy used once.
