Many thanks in advance

Re: Cisco 2600 Router User Accounts

Hello Michael,

without aaa new-model

no aaa new-model

username usr1 password pass1

line vty 0 4

login local

with aaa new-model

aaa new-model

aaa authentication login onlylocal local

username usr1 password pass1

line vty 0 4

login authentication onlylocal

with aaa other commands can be used for accounting and authorization.

I would start with the first option

multiple username/pwds are supported

Hope to help

Hi Giuseppe,

Thanks for that information. How do know if I have AAA new or not?

Michael

Do a "sh run" on your router and if you see "aaa new-model" then you have it. If you don't then you are running aaa.
