Cisco 3020 unable to connect to a 6509 after reboot

After a reboot of a Cisco 3020 HP blade Switch the port on the cisco 6509 is stated to notconnected and the Cisco stated connected.

After a shut/no-shut everything works fine, but same situation exist after a new reboot

Re: Cisco 3020 unable to connect to a 6509 after reboot

Hi Van,

I believe when it is rebooted and when it comes up due to osme reason it is going into errdisable state and that is the reason it stays into not connect state.

So on 6509 which stays not connected can you issue a command "sh int " and check the status of the interface and also check the logs if it shows you the reason for errdisable state.

If you do not see the casue you can enable rrdisable detect cause which will let you know the reason for port going into errdisable state and then we may rectify that issue.
