I'm connecting my Cisco 3120 switches to my distribution. This C-Class blade system has two Cisco 3120,
I 'm trying to connect two uplinks from Cisco 3120 to my distribution. I want to use port 19 and 22 but I can never bring up the port 21 and 22, anyone know the reason why? When I plug in SFP in port 19 and 20, it detects the sFP and I can connect but when I plug in SFP in port 21 or 22 it does never detect the SFP, here is the show int status
*****when SFPs are in port 19 and 20
Gi1/0/19 notconnect 1 auto auto 1000BaseSX SFP
Gi1/0/20 notconnect 1 auto auto 1000BaseSX SFP
*******When SFPs are in port 19 and 22***********
i1/0/17 disabled 1 auto auto 1000BaseX
Gi1/0/18 disabled 1 auto auto 1000BaseX
Gi1/0/19 notconnect 1 auto auto 1000BaseSX SFP
Gi1/0/20 notconnect 1 auto auto Not Present
Gi1/0/21 notconnect 1 auto auto Not Present
Gi1/0/22 notconnect 1 auto auto Not Present
Do I need to enable anything in the OA module?

Hi Nawaz,
Are these switches in IBM chassis? We use 3110 switches in our IBM chassis. By default each blade's NIC can only connect to two switches. If you want all 4 NICs to connect to four switches, you have to add an expansion card to each blades.

As I mentioned in my original message that I have C-Class Enclosures, and C-Class comes from Hp and not from IBM.

is there an issue with the twingig converter module that hosts interfaces 21 and 22? - could try reseating that module or 'swapping' it with the "working" module hosting 19/20 - following doc shows how to remove/install modules:
does the 3120 support the show module command?

As Andy writes it could be an issue with your Twingig converter, as the ports 19,20 are on one Twingig converter and 21,22 on another one.

I don't think it is an issue with the Twingig converter. I have 12 Enclosure and two Cisco 3120 in each enclosure that makes 24 switches altogether and all of them are reporing the same issue. The only things works is port 19 and 20. I replaced the converter, moved a working converter from the slot (port 19,20) to slot (port 21,22) but stil no luck. Anyone has port 21, 22 working in your C-Class Blade system with Cisco 3120 switches in them?

If anyone care to know what resolve my issue, here is the answer:
CSCsz68923 - TwinGig Converter module in slot 2 can't be recognized in 12.2(50)SE1
This bug has not yet been resolved. A workaround would be to downgrade the switch to 12.2(46)SE. I downgraded the IOS and verified that the X2 twin converter is detected on 12.2(46)SE but fails to be detected in 12.2(50)SE1
