Cisco 3750 Corrupt image

Hi,

 

I have a Cisco 3750-48ps-s switch with a corrupt image, I also have an identical switch with the same image that's working ok  is it possible to transfer the image from the working switch over to the corrupt switch? if so how would I go about doing this

Hey,In enable mode type

Hey,

In enable mode type following:

#cd c3750-ipbasek9-mz.122-25.SEE

And now you are in the directory where image is located. Issue the copy command and you should have the file on your TFTP server. Make sure to add the .bin extension while issuing the copy command. To move back to flash directory type"

#cd ..

You can copy the image from the flash of the working switch to a TFTP server,  after that you can download the image from the TFTP server to the other switch .

HiI've got my tftp server up

I've got my tftp server up and running and can ping my PC with the IP of 10.10.10.40 and my switch has the IP of 10.10.10.50 connectivity is up, see screenshot below. I'm still not able to transfer the file to the PC as the image is in a directory, how do i access the directory to transfer the image to my PC.

Hey Paul,

If the switch with corrupted image is up then you may do TFTP transfer of image, which is really easy however if its down then you may end up doing X-modem transfer. Adding a link for X-modem process, although it tells about routers but procedure is same for switches as well:
