Cisco 3750-X: difference between universal and ipbase image

There are two firmware files for Cisco 3750-X: Universal and the IPBase. We have a switch with Universal image and the lanbase license feature set. We do need now to have routing between the SVIs on that switch so IPBase license for the Universal is what we need.

Question (likely very silly but I will ask it anyway): Do we need to purchase the license if we would like to run an IPBase image (not the Jniversal with the IPBase license - but the IPBase image firmware version 12.2.58) or is it still a purchasable upgrade?

Thank you.

Yes, with the new universal image, you need to purchase a license to use IP Base. If not when you do a sh license you only see lan Base license.
