Cisco 3845 throughput performance

According to this report:

http://64.233.169.104/search?q=cache:OKlqEnnKT-kJ:www.miercom.com/dl.html%3Ffid%3D20040901%26type%3Dreport+3845+cisco+throughput+performance&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=4&gl=us

It stated that the Cisco 3845 can push 45Mbps VPN traffics. If that is true,

according to my diagram, I can push 45mbps of ftp traffic across the IPSec

VPN tunnel between the checkpoint

firewall and the Cisco 3845, correct?

I am not seeing anywhere near that.

Can anyone confirm this? Thanks.

Re: Cisco 3845 throughput performance

Hi,

You have 45Mbps P2P link between CP NGX and 3845? Your diagram show that both connected to internet, there is no end-to-end QoS guarantee in the internet.

If you have that bandwidth end-to-end, try using AES rather than 3DES.

Re: Cisco 3845 throughput performance

I used the Internet as an example. I have an

OC-3 P2P between the Checkpoint firewall and

the Cisco 3845. Furthermore, I am using

AES-128/sha-1 with DH group 5.

I am not seeing the throughput anywhere

near 45Mbps as the document claimed.
