You are indeed right, it does support Layer3 features. i didn't notice the 4232 card which you mentioned.
So you need to enter the RSM module (4232 card) from the switch by typing session (slot number where this card is installed). Passing the login prompts you will be in the enable mode which would be simply like a router prompt.
There you can assign IP address under each interface VLAN command and can run any simple routing protocol to make things easier.
ip address 10.10.1.1 255.255.255.0
ip address 10.10.2.1 255.255.255.0
configure router rip/eigrp/ospf and make all the above VLANs to be member of it.
as explained by colleague you can perform intervlan routing on the L3 module but you probably need to use subinterfaces on port-channel interface that connects to layer2 main switch
I have two devices like this
from the L3 engine you see as CDP neighbor the L2 switch on port-channel subinterfaces
LL3-engineC-1>sh cdp n Capability Codes: R - Router, T - Trans Bridge, B - Source Route Bridge S - Switch, H - Host, I - IGMP, r - Repeater
Device ID Local Intrfce Holdtme Capability Platform Port ID FOX04163236 Switch) Port-channel1.1 161 T S WS-C4006 3/1 FOX04163236(XX-C-1) Port-channel1.1 161 T S WS-C4006 3/2 RT-RM-TLD066-WEB-E-1 Gig 1 121 R S I WS-C6506 Gig 3/8 RT-RM-SXR000-WEB-C-1>
the member links are Gig3 and Gig4 in my case ang 3/1 and 3/2 on the switch because it is in slot 3
