Cisco 6500 - Running diagnostic on WS-X6548-RJ-45 card

I want to run diagnostics on a faulty line card that produced the following:

What is the correct syntax to run diagnostic on line card WS-X6548-RJ-45?  The card has been replaced.  I moved the faulty card to another Cisco 6500 to run diagnostic.  Should I run intursive or non-intrusive test?  I tried performing diagnostic but getting:

C6513-01#diagnostic start module 11 test ?
% No diagnostic test is available for Module 11

No its not intusive. "diagnostic bootup level complete"  command should be put in configm mode on the switch

Re: Cisco 6500 - Running diagnostic on WS-X6548-RJ-45 card

Manny,

This seems like a hardware issue . Did the card come up fine in the New chassis ? but to run diagnostic on the card you can configure the "diagnostic bootup level complete" and reseat the line card and check the diagnostic result mod x command output for the details.

Most of the tests are run when the card comes up initially. Here is the command to know what tests the module support:

sh diagnostic content mod 11.

C6513-01#diagnostic start module 11 test ?
% No diagnostic test is available for Module 11

You are seeing that output because the module is not up.

Hope this is what you are looking for.

JayaKrishna

Will this be intrusive?

1- I will enter "diagnostic bootup level complete" on the switch

2- Have the card receded

3- type "show diagnostic result module 11" to retrieve test results

Correct?
