We just purchased (2) New Cisco 6509 with sup720 supervisor modules:
I had to upgrade the IOS from ipservices to adipservices and have few questions:
When I booted up the chassis it had the following command
boot system flash bootflash: instead of
boot system flash sup-bootflash:
I first downloaded the IOS into bootflash and it went successfully, but it didn't show the IOS int bootflash. Affter reading the some upgrade procedure I downloaded the IOS into sup-bootflash as well.
I then checked the IOS into sup-bootflash and I saw both IOSs into sup-bootflash:
After upgradind the IOS, I added the following command:
boot system flash sup-bootflash:
I rebooted and switch came up fine, but I am confused and wanted the know where actually I should have downloaded the IOS. bootflash or sup-bootflash.
Please Advise!
