Hi Karim,

Fair enough.  In your "sh power" output you have this line:

3    WS-X6724-SFP        125.16  2.98     -     -     on    off (FRU-power failed)

This line, in my experience, means a power Field Replaceable Unit (FRU) has failed.  Cisco TAC will immediately replace your blade (if, of course, you have a valid service contract).

If my post is helpful or solves your issue, please feel free to rate.  Thank you.

Blade in slot 3 has failed:  Power converter.  I recommend you contact TAC and pray you have a valid service contract.

Leo - I have inserted the module ven in Slot 1 and got the same outputs.

But from above outputs ..i could not decided whether it is hardware /power issue

Thanks for your valuable posts!

Regards,

KA.

I'm not saying the slot has failed.  I'm saying that the blade (WS-X6724-SFP) has failed.

Hello Leo,

Can you please tell me how do we should understand like seeing which message it indiactes that the blade has failed.

Regards,

KA.

Hello Leo,

Thank you very much for your post and it helped me to understand in knowing the root cause incase of hardware failure of a module.

Appreciate your help!

Regards,

KA.

Thanks for the ratings Karim.
