I have a scenario i would like some input from experts. I have a cisco 881g router and a firewall. We are connecting to a cellular network through a tunnel and all bandwidth allocations are done by us and not the cellular provider. Clients connect to the to us through the cellular network using a usb modem (sim chips confgured with a static IP). The firewall does the bandwidth allocations and monitoring is done here.
Sim ip is 172.23.X.X and firewall IP 192.168.X.X. the cisco has 2 interfaces i.e. the cellular interface with a 172.23.X.X and a LAN interface 192.168.X.X. Currently our clients have to connect through a vpn client. We would like this to be a plug and play connection. Meaning the vpn has to be configured on the cisco 881g router.
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
