Cisco 888 Keeps booting into rommon

Hi All,

i keep getting into romon for some reason on my C888, the following is an output i really need help doing the Security test in 1 mnth and need to use the CCP and this is the only router, Trued Confreg 2102,2101 still keeps booting into Rommon any else have any ideas?

rommon 22 > reset

Hello.

It looks like there's no image present in Flash. If there is one, it is probably corrupted. You need to follow the instructions from the link below in order to load new ios provided you have a valid CCO account:

I also had a problem like this. My IOS was corrupted, so I downloaded another file, and I uploaded it with TFTP.

Just type in the following in rommon mode:

IP_ADDRESS= ip_address

IP_SUBNET_MASK= ip_address

DEFAULT_GATEWAY= ip_address

TFTP_SERVER= ip_address

TFTP_FILE= filename

tftpdnld

it'll take 5-10 minutes. Unfortunately slower than global conf mode.

Do a "dir flash:" and see if you have a valid image installed.  If not, install one with TFTP per the link provided by a previous poster.
