Cisco Cat8540CSR and Cat4507R do not work in 100Mbits full-duplex mode

If connected this devices in autonegotiation mode they agree on 100M half duplex.

But I need full duplex operation.

When I put both ports in 100 full duplex the link doesn't come up....

What is the problem?

Is it an interopeation issue?

Please help.

Thanks.

Almost sounds like you are using mdix . I would turn off mdix on both sides if supported .Make both ports either auto or hardcode both to 100 full and use a crossover cable .
