Hello,
I have a Cisco 6509 switch with IOS 12.2.18 configured to use LACP (Dynamic link aggregation) with Windows Servers running four Gigabit EF Dual Port Server Adapter Network Card. I configured etherchannel and the server in active /passive and active/active modes. I can't seem to say which mode is the recommended way to go. What's Cisco's recommended approach to this? What's the advantage and disadvantages of active/active moded over active passive mode?
These servers will run Exchange 2010 CAS and HT roles.
Thanks in advance

Hi,
Since the server supports LACP, the recommended config for the switch is to be in active mode.
Have a look at this doc for an example;
