Cisco Configurator

I'm not sure where to post this, since I don't see a board for Cisco Hardware.

Question: I frequently use the Cisco Configurator site to build and purchase switches and routers for our company. Is there a cisco website that will translate these part# into something I can understand? I don't want to accidentally order the wrong parts and cost the company money. For example, just looking at the 2811 chasis, there are so many options and combination to choose from including bundle packages. Thanks in advance.

I don't use Cisco Configurator and i'm not entirely sure what you are asking. If you go to the relevant pages for the product you are interested then there are datasheets/Q&A's etc. for a lot of the individual modules etc. See this link for 2800 routers as an example - is this what you need ?

Re: Cisco Configurator

The configurator is used to build the different components of your routers/ switches. Here's a link:

https://tools.cisco.com/qtc/config/jsp/configureHome.jsp

The link you provided helps find more detailed information about the various components. Thanks again Jon.
