Cisco ISO Loading to 4900 Switch.

Hi All,

I am currently running cisco IOS and want to load fresh Cisco IOS. I connected the G1/2 into the TFTP server computer. The TFTP server interface is 10.0.0.2. I am unable to assign the ip address to the G1/2. how can I do the file tranfer from the computer to the switch bootflash and load the switch using the new image.

Thank you,

Siva

you need to make g1/2 a non switchport.

issue no switchport on the interface g1/2 and then assign an ip.

Thank you. I have done the tranfer of IOS image via VLAN1. I am unable to delete the VLAN information on the Switch. It is sandalone Switch. Not connected with any switch.

Cisco 4900 Switch.

Switch#dir cat4000_switch:

Issue a dir all command and find out where the vlan.dat is.

And be aware that VLAN1 cannot be deleted. It's the default VLAN.
