My customer want to connect a HP ProCurve 2920 switch to a Nexus 2XXX using link aggregation.

Can someone suggest how?

Thanks.

Regards.

Hi,

The 2k ports are designed for end device connectivity e.g servers, workstations, printers, etc.. and not for switch to switch connectivity.  The 2ks need a parent switch (5k, 6k or 7k) and so you can directly connect the HP 2920 to the parent switch instead.

Many thanks Reza.

So if I understand well I can connect to the parent switch using LACP...

Regards.

Andrea

That is correct.  All parent switches support LACP.  You would need to look at the HP switch and make sure LACP is supported.

Many many thanks for your help Reza.

HP ProCurve and Comware switches support LACP.
