Cisco Part Number Legend

Anyone know where you can get the Cisco part number legend from?

Example:     "WS-C2960-24TT-L"     what do the letters mean after the -24 [TT-L]

Re: Cisco Part Number Legend

The "TT" stands for the type of uplink.  In this case, it's TWO (2) 10/100/1000BaseTX.

"L" is what kind of image.  In this case it's LAN Base.

Re: Cisco Part Number Legend

Thanks leolaohoo for your response.  Is there a legend or documentation anywhere that spells all this out?  How did you come across this information?

Re: Cisco Part Number Legend

WS-C2960-24TT-L
WSWire Speed
CCatalyst
2960/2960GSeries of switches 2960-10/100 and 2960G-10/100/1000 for host.
24Interfaces for host
TTFirst T refers type of host interface, means UTP and second T (both are UTP ports) refers type of uplink interface

if 2960-24TC-L then C   means Combo - SFP and UTP - you can use only one type of interface.

if 2960-24PC-L then P   means PoE port for hosts.
LL for image of switch   L- for LAN BASE  and S - for Lan Lite image.

Is anybody knows  what legends stands for below parts numbers:

WS-C2960S-24PD-L

"F" means FULL Poe Power.  This "F" can only be found in some selected 48-port switches.  You will not be able to find "F" in 24 ports.

When you see "F", it means that you can push up to 48-ports of 15.4w PoE.
