Cisco real-life 6880 power utilisation

Is anyone able to share a 6880 “show power”?

We've a situation where we're limited to 2 kVA racks, so we considering purchasing a minimally configured 6880, which seems to be a good fit feature/budget wise for a deployment that is unlikely to grow.

We've experience operating a 6509 with 1 sup-2T + 2 line cards running under 2000 Watts, so we believe in all likelihood the 6880 with 1 line card would draw even less, but it'll be good to know for sure. :)

Thanks!

Hi! Have you used the Cisco

Hi!

Have you used the Cisco Power Calculator? http://tools.cisco.com/cpc/LCS.cpc

SlotLine CardOptional DFCPower over Ethernet Capabilities
1C6880-X-16P10G------
2-- EMPTY-SLOT --------
3-- EMPTY-SLOT --------
4-- EMPTY-SLOT --------
5WS-C6880-X------
Minimum Power SupplyPercentage of Power Used
One C6880-X-3KW-AC in Combined Mode32.67%
First Alternative Power SupplyPercentage of Power Used
Two C6880-X-3KW-AC in Redundant Mode32.67%

Total Output Current(@50V)Total Output PowerTotal Typical Output PowerTotal Heat Dissipation
19.60 Amps980.00 Watts784.00 Watts3937.28 BTU/Hr

I guess this shows us that the 6880 will draw less then 2000w

Regards,

Johan
