Could anyone please help...
On a Cisco switch part number like below you get a different letter at the end. eg. -E, -S, -L etc
Does anyone know what the different letters mean?
WS-C2960-24PC-S

These letters tell you which Feature set is running on the switch. If you have a WS-C2960-24PC-S it's running the LAN Lite software, and the WS-C2960-24-PC-L is running the LAN Base software with more features.
You can find this info in the Data-Sheets of the particular product:

According to:

...'S' and 'L' denote feature set. Not sure about 'E' though?

hi mark,
to my knowledge, the last letter depicts the IOS used by switch platform.
for your case, i believe you're running a standard image (hence for the 'S').
an 'E' is for enhanced image.
