I have a Cisco Catalyst 5500 with a SupIII engine with a Dual Port 1000BaseSX Uplink Module (WS-U5534-GESX) and I'm connecting to an Extreme Networks device with an SX GBIC connector. and its not working.
2 questions.
1. What diameter does the Cisco uplink use 50 or 62.5 ? As I can not find it in any literature. I assume 62.5 as its around that time frame.
2. Since Cisco has a lot of proprietary stuff is there a standards issue keeping them from not connecting over the sx fiber link. If so is there a solution?

The UPlink port if connected with fiber optice cable then it uses the diameter of 62.5

Are you sure that the jumper is good and has the proper polarity? MM fiber with either of those 2 diameters should work.
