Hi,
I have Cisco5509 with WS-X5530 Sup ,I am not able to access the console port of the SUP engine.
Telnetting to the switch IP ask me to enter the password,When I enter the password it says connection to host is closed.Is it due to wrong password?
How to access the console port of the WS-C5509 which has the WS-X5530 SUP engine?
How to recover the password?
Simply using SET command can I change the password to new password?
Please help me to resolve the issue.

if Im not mistaken you could use a straight-through CAT5 cable for console.
for password recovery you need to console to the switch, follow this instructions,
