I do not have a whole lot of information because the customer said that he did a clear ip bgp * soft and that the CPU spiked to 100% for more than 5 minutes. I haven't got any more details such as SHOW PROCESS CPU or SHOW TECH at time of problem, because customer power cycled this CAT6K after this problem. I do have SHOW TECH done now after the power cycle but naturally that won't tell anything. I just wanted to know if clear ip bgp * sogt would cause the CPU to spike for more than 5 minutes. I thought soft should be OK although a specific prefix would be better.
