Cluster 2960

We are trying to cluster two 2960's:

SW1 - C2960-24-TC-S

SW2 - C2960-24-LT-L

We setup SW1 as the cluster commander with the following command:

cluster enable STACK1

When we try to add the other switch as a cluter member:

cluster member mac-address 0023.ab0f.a880

We get "member unreachable" error message

The two switches are connected via GI0/2 (on both switches).

When we run SH MAC-ADDRESS-TABLE on SW1 se do not see the base mac address of SW2

We attached a laptop to SW2 and traffic appears to go from laptop --> SW2 --> SW1

Any ideas?

Make sure VLAN 1 on both switches are enabled.

Check 'show cluster candidate'; do you see 0023.ab0f.a880 list as candidate member?
